GE Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes
When your GE oven, stove, or range displays an error code, it’s usually trying to tell you there’s an issue that needs attention. Below is a complete list of GE fault codes along with troubleshooting tips to help you get cooking again fast.
GE Fault Code Reference
- F0 – Stuck Touch Pad
Replace touch pad or oven control (ERC/clock), or both. - F1 – Stuck Touch Pad
Same fix as F0: Replace the touch pad, oven control, or both. - F2 During BAKE – Temperature Over 615–630°F
Check for welded relay contacts or a faulty temperature sensor circuit. - F2 During CLEAN – Temperature Over 915–930°F
Same as above, plus check door lock switches. - F3 / F4 – Open or Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD)
Check sensor wiring; replace RTD sensor if needed. - F5 – Loss of Relay Drive Circuit
Replace the oven control board (ERC). - F8 – Shorted Meat Probe
Inspect the probe, receptacle, and circuit for damage or moisture. - F9 – Lock Switch Error
Inspect wiring and door lock switch for faults. - FC – Door Lock Circuit Problem
Check for pinched wires or faulty switches on motorized lock circuits. - FD – Shorted Meat Probe
Check probe, receptacle, and wiring. Replace probe if needed. - FF – Loss of Door Motor Safety Switch
Replace the oven control (ERC). - FFF – Control Error (Failed EEPROM)
Replace the oven control board. This is a checksum/memory error in the EEPROM.
