Hotpoint Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes

If your Hotpoint oven or range is showing an error code, use this guide to understand what it means and how to fix it. These Hotpoint fault codes help identify issues with the oven control, temperature sensors, and door lock systems.

Hotpoint Fault Code Reference

  • F0 – Stuck Touch Pad
    Replace the oven control (ERC/clock), the touch pad, or both.
  • F1 – Stuck Touch Pad
    Same as F0. Replace touch pad or control board. Refer to F1 diagnostics if available.
  • F2 During BAKE – Temp Over 615°F–630°F
    Look for welded relay contacts or issues in the oven sensor circuit. Replace control or sensor as needed.
  • F2 During CLEAN – Temp Over 915°F–930°F
    Same as above; also check door lock switch and sensor wiring.
  • F3 / F4 – Open or Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD)
    Check the sensor and its wiring. Replace the oven sensor if necessary.
  • F7 – Stuck Touch Pad or Bad Clock
    Replace the touch pad, oven control, or both.
  • F9 – Lock Switch Issue
    Inspect wiring to the lock switch for connection problems or a stuck switch.
