Whirlpool Dryer Error Code F01 – How to Fix It
The F01 error code on a Whirlpool dryer points to a major issue: failure of the main Electronic Control Board (ECB). When this happens, your dryer may not start, or it might power on with no response from the buttons.
What Causes the F01 Code?
This error usually means there is a failed relay or damaged trace on the main control board. It could be triggered by:
- A short in the board from moisture or power surge
- Burned contacts or failed internal relays
- Loose wiring or connector damage
How to Fix F01 on a Whirlpool Dryer
- Unplug the Dryer: Disconnect power to avoid electric shock.
