Appliance: Washer — Model: WTW5105HCO

Asked By: Matt

Question Details:
Drain pump constantly on. Replaced drain pump. No clogs or kinks in drain hoses. From washer tub to drain pump and from drain pump to the hose is all clear. I put the washer in to service mode. Ran some diagnostics within service mode. They really didn't do anything for me. But my water level pressure sensor value is 14. I can leave my washer unplugged for a while and reset the washer within the service mode and the pump stays on. This pum is new. I traced the 2 wires from the pump to the motherboard(?) Or where it plugs into. The wires and connections look good. The (motherboard) has a hose running from it to the bottom of the washer drum. The motherboard also has a green blinking light. So I said all of this cause I can't identify the problem. Help please

The issue you are experiencing is due to a faulty circuit within the washer’s control board. The drain pump is continuing to run because the control board is incorrectly detecting water in the tub when none is present. The hose that runs from the control board down to the tub is the pressure sensor hose. On this model, the pressure sensor is integrated into the control board itself.

To resolve the problem, the control board will need to be replaced. The required part is W11543997. We do not stock this part, but you can locate it easily by searching the part number online.
